You will get a straight answer rather than reassurance. Confidentiality here is governed by state law and clinical ethics, with the standard limits: imminent risk to yourself or someone else, abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult, and court orders. Questions about how treatment interacts with a clearance or a command requirement are worth raising directly in the consult, and where the honest answer is that a security officer or legal resource should answer it, you will hear that.
Can I take a session from work?
Only if you have a genuinely private space. A shared office or an open bay is not one. Many Maryland clients schedule for early morning or evening at home instead, specifically to avoid that problem.
