I've worked in mental health since 2014, became independently licensed in 2019, and I served on active duty as a mental-health provider and still serve part-time in the National Guard, with seven years of military experience. The practice is built for people who carry the weight of service, active-duty, veterans, first responders, and the families and adults who share the load. The goal, when clinically appropriate, isn't lifetime symptom management. It's completing treatment. MY STORY ## Four generations in uniform. I come from a military family, a great-grandfather who served in World War I, a grandfather in World War II, and a father, stepfather and uncle who also served. I grew up overseas on military bases, witnessing firsthand the sacrifices service members and their families make. The military community became my family away from home, and I always wanted to give back to it. That's a major part of why I joined the military as a mental-health provider, and why this practice exists.
